  1. There are too much useless stuff in this book. but it is still a good book

  2. This is a very nice guide for getting around DC. I spent 8 days with my family on vacation during the very busy Cherry Blossom Festival time and found this book to be an indispensable guide. Highly recommend.

  3. I skimmed through this book before our trip, and we used it every one of the five days we stayed in Washington. It’s practical, up-to-date, well-written, and, once I got used to its organization, easy to follow and cross-reference. We ate dinner every night at a restaurant listed in this book, each in a different neighborhood, and they were all winners. I like the maps, too.

  4. THe reason that i bought Fodor’s guide to DC was because at the time it was the only book that included some of the new sights that are in DC such as the Newseum, etc. The book is well laid out by districts and sights we used it alot before we went out. There was one problem however, in the book on the front cover it has the metro lines and stops laid out but they must have forgot to color in the orange line as the bullets and stop names were there but no line to follow, not a problem as there are free metro maps in DC everywhere. Also it was helpful that it had a pullout map of the city to use. Overall i recommend the book.
