tahiti

Tahiti is an island of French Polynesia in the South Pacific, however, there are several islands that make up what is collectively referred to as Tahiti: Bora Bora, Moorea and Rangiroa are just a few. Most honeymoon couples visit and stay on more than just one.

Tahiti is one of the most romantic places on the Earth. The natural beauty of the landscape, the bungalows set directly over the lagoon’s calm waters, the peaceful seclusion.

Bora Bora and Maupiti are noted for their combination of high volcanic peaks within low coral rings. Rangiroa is one of the world’s largest coral atolls while Makatea is an uplifted atoll. Bora Bora is famous world wide for its marine life, is only an hour away by plane and is well worth the trip to see the unique blue and green lagoons and the shark feeding expeditions.

Tahiti hotels

Although the islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora provide over 80 % of hotel capacity, the lesser known islands are also opening top-of-the-range establishments. International visitors can savor the charm of Tahiti and her Islands’ hidden paradises in the greatest comfort while enjoying the exotic pleasures of their remote natural locations.

Several international groups are present: InterContinental, Accor, Méridien, Starwood-Sheraton, Orient-Express, Club Med - and very recently, the Carlson - Radisson chain on Tahiti’s east coast as well as two Novotel hotels (Accor group).

A Vale Do Lobo Holiday appeals to many types of holiday maker, from families, to couples to sports enthusiasts.

The reason why the resort appeals to those who are sportingly inclined is the two top quality golf resorts available, one of which is known as “The Royal”, which is one of the most photographed in Europe.

As well as two golf courses, there is a tennis academy and a court which hosts an annual seniors tournament.

The resort boasts no fewer than fourteen restaurants in total, which cater to all tastes. Many of which can be found in the area by the beach which is known as the ‘Praca’(Plaza).

Here you can enjoy top quality food at very reasonable, or in the more “basic” restaurants, dare we say cheap prices! Don’t be put off if your not particularly adventurous in your dinning habits, you can always enjoy the Portuguese version of a sirloin steak – known as” biff á Portuguese”!

For those of you who enjoy your stay at the resort and would consider purchasing some much sort after real estate, you may be in for a surprise! According to 2007 study, Vale Do Lobo, along with Quinta Do Lago and Almancil make up the most expensive real estate region in Portugal, with the average land prices per square meter costing in the region of €5000.
