Cyprus is one of the most wanted vacation destinations because the Mediterranean island’s art, culture, foods, beaches and gorgeous cities and sites are fascinating.

You can discover and enjoy astonishing coasts and beaches and fascinating cities. The nature enthusiast will find plenty of cycling and nature routes and many outdoor activities.

The Cities of Cyprus

Cyprus has many interesting cities. The most attractive are: the capital Lefkosia (Nicosia),  Larnaka (Larnaca), Lemesos (Limassol) and Pafos (Paphos).

Even these cities are now modern trade and business centers you still can enjoy the old town centers with historical buildings, local markets and shops. Most tourists prefer to go and shop in the old town centers because the places are beautiful, there are plenty of places to buy souvenirs for the loved ones and the prices are affordable.

Where to stay?

Cyprus offers a lot of facilities for tourists. You will have to decide if you want to stay in a big city like Nicosia or if you want to enjoy a peaceful vacation in the countryside. To find good hotels just do a search with you favorite search engine. Read the user reviews before booking. Alternatively you can go to a reliable travel agency and let them make the booking for you. 

There are many good hotels and usually the prices are affordable so even tourists on a budget can find something for them. Another option is to rent a villa instead of staying in a hotel. The Cyprus villas are a good choice for people how want more than a hotel room. You can find tastefully furnished and fully equipped new apartments for rent located near the beach and with a swimming pool for £200 per week – this is the price that I’ve found for a 1 bedroom apartment.

Even I didn’t rent a villa in Cyprus I like this choice. My and my family like the idea to stay in a Villa and have so much space available including a yard and most villas in Cyprus have a swimming pool which from my point of view is great.

For smaller budgets you can find and rent a room with bathroom and a small kitchen in a villa. There are plenty of offers online. I have stayed in something similar in Greece and it was great because it was located next to the town center and the beach was near.
